Senior Social Worker – Assessment & Intervention
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker / Specialist Social Worker to join its Assessment & Intervention Service based in Southwark.
Working within a busy frontline Assessment Team, the successful candidate will undertake statutory social work duties, including completing assessments, managing safeguarding concerns, and delivering effective interventions to improve outcomes for children and families.
This is a hybrid role requiring attendance in the office two days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely.
What Will Your Responsibilities Be?
- Undertake child and family assessments.
- Carry out home visits and direct work with children.
- Complete Section 47 enquiries.
- Develop risk assessments and safety plans.
- Manage a complex caseload.
- Produce high-quality reports and assessments.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure children are safeguarded and supported appropriately.
- Participate in the team's duty rota approximately every five weeks.
Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Social Work England registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Post-qualified experience
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
Additional Information
- Hybrid working arrangement with office attendance required two days per week.
- 6-month temporary assignment.
- 36 hours per week.
- £39.04 per hour.
- Inside IR35.
