Occupational Therapist – Adult Social Care

Liquid Personnel are currently recruiting for its client for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Social Care Equipment & Adaptations Team at Wirral Council.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced OT with strong community/social care experience, supporting adults to remain safe and independent in their own homes.

What will your responsibilities be? 

  •  Adult Social Care – Equipment & Adaptations
  • Assessments under the Care Act
  • Specialist equipment provision
  • Major adaptations / Disabled Facilities Grants
  • Complex moving & handling and seating assessments
  • Risk management and safeguarding
  • Supporting adults with complex and progressive conditions
  • Working with residents, families, carers and multi-agency partners
  • Promoting independence and reducing the need for formal care
  • Supporting and mentoring junior staff, students and newly qualified OTs

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with a relevant Occupational Therapy degree
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Post-qualified Occupational Therapy experience
  • Community or social care experience essential
  • Experience within a Local Authority desirable
  • Ability to travel across the borough required
