Social Worker - Children & Families

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an Children’s Social Worker to join its client’s Children & Families team, based in Northumberland. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive local authority, helping to safeguard and improve outcomes for children, young people, and their families.

You'll manage a varied caseload, undertake assessments and interventions, and work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure children receive the right support at the right time.

Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary
Start Date: Immediate

What will your responsibilities be? 

• Deliver a statutory social work service to children, young people, and their families in line with legislation and local authority procedures.
• Complete Child in Need, Child Protection, and Family Support assessments.
• Develop, implement, and review effective care and support plans.
• Build strong working relationships with children, families, carers, and partner agencies.
• Ensure the child's voice remains central to all assessments and decision-making.
• Maintain accurate and timely case recordings, reports, and assessments.
• Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, conferences, and court proceedings where required.
• Participate in regular supervision and reflective practice.

Qualifications and Experience: 

To be successful in this role you must have;  

• Social Work England registration
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Post-qualified experience within Children's Services
• Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Eligibility to work in the UK
