Advanced Practitioner - Families First Team

Liquid Personnel is recruiting Advanced Practitioner for its client's Families First Team at Trafford.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Children's Social Worker to work within Trafford's Child in Need Service, supporting children and families through assessment, planning, and intervention. The service operates on a locality basis and is focused on delivering high-quality assessments, strengthening family support networks, and achieving positive outcomes for children.

As an Advanced Practitioner, you will hold a varied caseload and play a key role in supporting the development of colleagues through coaching, supervision, and practice leadership.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Undertake Child and Family Assessments.
  • Complete Section 47 enquiries and safeguarding investigations.
  • Manage a caseload of children supported through Child in Need plans.
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and partner agencies.
  • Support the safe step-down of plans where appropriate.
  • Provide coaching, supervision, and support to social workers and students.
  • Promote high-quality practice and contribute to service development.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have, 

  • Qualified Social Worker
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Significant post-qualified experience within Children's Services
  • Experience of Child in Need, Assessment, and Safeguarding work
  • Ability to support and develop less experienced practitioners
  • Strong assessment, planning, and relationship-building skills
