POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Global Commercial Director of LiquidStack. This role will provide internal technical support for customer quotations and assist business development for various liquid cooling applications. Using 3D and 2D models, this individual will be responsible for taking customer dimensional data, providing layout drawings and designs using the LiquidStack product offerings. This role will work closely with the Commercial Sales and Engineering Team. This individual will learn about a variety of new technologies that can shape the data center industry for decades to come. We are looking for a driven individual who is passionate about this profession and wants to be a team member on one of the world’s global leaders in liquid cooling for data centers, edge, and high-performance computing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports the Commercial Sales team with designs, layouts, and costs for customer applications.
  • Direct pre-sales support for design engineering firms and direct customers with technical product questions.
  • Communicates with the Commercial and Engineering team worldwide to handle requests for quotations.
  • Extensive knowledge of product management and frequent interactions with the engineering team.
  • Provide support for presentations, visualize proposals, and potentially work with animation.
  • Acts in a manner consistent with LiquidStack’s core values and according to LiquidStack’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethical Behavior.
  • Complies with standards and procedures of LiquidStack’s health and safety manual and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Diploma/Higher Diploma/BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or equivalent degree.
  • 2 to 3 years of proven experience in mechanical, thermal, industrial, and/or manufacturing positions.
  • Thermal system design and/or HVAC/R is preferred.
  • Data Center, IT Infrastructure experience or process cooling/heating is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, 2D or other solid modelling is an advantage.
  • Experience in the data centre industry would be a major positive.
  • Experience with photo-realistic rendering is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with animation is a plus.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Must have strong planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to prioritize competing tasks and keeping to critical deadlines.
  • Self-starter that can be hands-on and work independently.
  • Multicultural approach, comfortable working with diverse cultures and mind-sets.
  • Appreciation to work in a global organization with teammates in different time zones/regions.
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written).
  • Very good command of English (native preferred); Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a plus.
  • Knowledge in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time within the APAC region
  • Valid passport & driver’s license with no infractions that would limit ability to travel.
