Position Summary
The Director of Project Management Office (PMO) will lead the establishment and execution of a world-class project management function aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. This role is responsible for developing and implementing best-in-class project management practices, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the successful delivery of cross-functional projects—particularly in a manufacturing and high-tech environment. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a proven ability to manage complex, high-impact projects, build high-performing teams, and work effectively with global enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive PMO strategy aligned with business goals and long-term vision.

Lead the project portfolio management process, ensuring prioritization based on business value, risk, and resource availability.

Establish, implement, and continuously improve project management methodologies, tools, and governance frameworks.

Provide strategic direction and coaching to project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and success.

Ensure consistent project execution across the organization, with a focus on timely delivery, quality outcomes, and budget compliance.

Oversee resource planning, capacity management, and project interdependencies to maximize efficiency.

Identify and proactively mitigate project risks, managing issues before they impact timelines or outcomes.

Deliver high-quality project reporting and dashboards to executive leadership, providing insight into performance, trends, and ROI.

Conduct post-project reviews to capture learnings and drive continuous improvement.

Cultivate strong partnerships across departments and global stakeholders, aligning project goals with business needs.

Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing PMO team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

Define and track KPIs to measure PMO effectiveness, continuously improving operations based on data-driven insights.

Stay current with industry trends and emerging project management practices, integrating new approaches as appropriate.
Qualifications
Education
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience
-
10+ years of progressive project management experience, including 5+ years in a leadership capacity.

Proven success in managing complex, cross-functional projects within manufacturing and high-tech sectors.

Experience working with enterprise clients on a global scale.
Skills

Fluent in English; Cantonese proficiency strongly preferred.

PMP, Agile, or other project management certifications preferred.

Expertise in portfolio management, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet).

Strong analytical, financial, and strategic thinking skills.

Familiarity with continuous improvement and process optimization methodologies.
Work Environment & Special Conditions

Role based at the Engineering Center in Kwai Chung, Hong Kong.

Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.

Valid passport and driver’s license required, with no travel-restrictive infractions.
