
Production Assembler – Mechanical & Electrical Assembly

Position Summary
LiquidStack manufactures advanced liquid cooling equipment used in data centers and high-performance computing environments.
We are seeking experienced Production Assemblers to join our manufacturing teams in Carrollton and Fort Worth, Texas.
This is a hands-on manufacturing and production assembly position building large mechanical and electromechanical cooling equipment. This is not a data center, IT, computer repair, or computer hardware position.
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, electromechanical assembly, HVAC, industrial equipment, heavy assembly, or a similar manufacturing environment.
Candidates with experience assembling, installing, wiring, or servicing HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, industrial machinery, electrical equipment, automotive systems, or other mechanical/electromechanical products are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical & Electrical Assembly
- Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished equipment according to work instructions, engineering drawings, diagrams, and bills of material (BOMs).
- Install frames, panels, brackets, pumps, valves, piping, tubing, fittings, sensors, switches, and other mechanical components.
- Perform electrical assembly, including routing and securing wires, cables, and wire harnesses.
- Install electrical connectors and components and perform basic wire termination.
- Use hand tools, power tools, drills, impact drivers, wrenches, sockets, torque tools, and other production equipment.
- Measure and verify component placement using tape measures and basic measuring tools.
- Follow wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and visual work instructions.
- Rotate through production stations and cross-train on different assembly processes as needed.
Testing & Quality
- Perform basic functional testing, leak testing, continuity checks, and visual inspections.
- Inspect assemblies for proper fit, alignment, wiring, connections, measurements, and overall workmanship.
- Verify correct parts and components are installed according to production requirements.
- Identify defects, damaged components, loose connections, wiring issues, or other assembly concerns.
- Communicate quality or production issues to Production Leads, Manufacturing Engineering, or Quality.
- Complete required production, inspection, and testing documentation accurately.
- Support troubleshooting and rework when assembly or quality issues are identified.
- Maintain strong attention to detail and a quality-first approach throughout the assembly process.
Safety & Production
- Follow company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, standard operating procedures, and required PPE.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, torque equipment, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation using 5S principles.
- Follow established production processes, quality standards, and work instructions.
- Support changing production priorities and new product builds.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, quality concerns, or production issues.
- Contribute ideas that improve safety, quality, efficiency, and workflow.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of hands-on mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, electromechanical assembly, HVAC, industrial equipment assembly, heavy assembly, or similar manufacturing/production experience.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, automotive, construction, or industrial environment.
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions, assembly drawings, diagrams, and bills of material (BOMs).
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and use basic measuring tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to identify incorrect parts, poor fit or alignment, loose connections, wiring issues, and other assembly concerns.
- Ability to perform repetitive hands-on assembly while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
- Commercial or residential HVAC assembly, installation, manufacturing, or service
- Mechanical or electromechanical assembly
- Electrical wiring, cable routing, wire harnesses, or wire termination
- Electrical or control panel assembly
- Industrial equipment or machinery assembly
- Refrigeration or cooling equipment
- Automotive, truck, trailer, or heavy equipment assembly
- Pumps, valves, piping, tubing, fittings, or fluid-handling systems
- Reading mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, or electrical schematics
- Leak testing, continuity testing, functional testing, or final inspection
- Lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement environments
Relevant backgrounds may include Production Assembler, Mechanical Assembler, Electrical Assembler, Electromechanical Assembler, HVAC Assembler, HVAC Installer, HVAC Technician, Assembly Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Equipment Assembler, Industrial Assembler, Electrical Panel Assembler, Machine Builder, or Mechanical Technician.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position works in a manufacturing and production assembly facility building physical equipment.
- Stand and walk for up to 8+ hours per shift.
- Regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently bend, reach, kneel, squat, and perform overhead assembly work.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.
- Perform repetitive mechanical and electrical assembly tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Work around large mechanical equipment, components, tools, and active production operations.
This is a hands-on manufacturing position and is not an IT, computer technician, server technician, or data center operations role.
