THE POSITION
The Assistant Program Officer will be a member of LISC’s Strategy & Operations team and will be primarily responsible for the administration of LISC’s Impact Matrix. Launched in 2022, this tool uses a data-informed approach to refine how LISC incorporates impact into LISC’s loan process. The matrix leverages existing quantitative and qualitative data collected during LISC’s underwriting process. This position will be responsible for using the matrix to assess the impact rating of all loans that go through the credit approval process. This position will also provide project management and administrative support for the Strategy and Operations Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Impact Matrix administration
- Rate all loans that come for approval at Credit Committee or through the Chief Credit Officer approval process using the Impact Matrix
- Prepare weekly Impact Matrix-related Credit Committee materials and present impact ratings at Credit Committee
- Update and maintain the Impact Ratings tracker, and coordinate internally to share KPI and other Matrix data
- Support internal and external presentations on the Impact Matrix, including compiling and analyzing Matrix data and preparing meeting materials
- Help facilitate Impact Matrix Advisory Board meetings, including meeting coordination, soliciting Matrix feedback, and reporting on findings
- Liaise across LISC departments (Lending, Finance, Communications, Local Offices, etc.) to promote Impact Matrix engagement and to enhance coordination in LISC’s ESG and impact reporting
- Strategy & Operations team support
- Provide project management and administrative support including meeting scheduling, note taking, and follow up task management for key Strategy & Operations team priorities, including cross-departmental process improvement efforts, NISOP (LISC's new initiative intake process), Strategic and Annual Plan projects, and additional projects as assigned
- Work on special projects and perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or relevant work experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of relevant work experience preferred
- Strong familiarity or work experience in impact measurement and management, CDFI lending, or similar concepts, and passion for LISC’s community development mission
- Practical knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods, data analysis, and presentation using Excel and PowerPoint, and experience using research and data to tell a story
- Comfortable organizing, cleaning, and analyzing data, using Excel, Smartsheet's, Salesforce, or similar
- Superior oral and written communication skills, excels at public speaking, comfortable facilitating meetings with more senior colleagues
- Ability to work independently, and collaborate and forge strong relationships across diverse teams
- The desire to learn, take on new projects, and advance current skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proactive follow through
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
Salary
LISC offers a competitive salary ($63,500-$79,381) and excellent fringe benefits
