Creative Content Director

Position Overview:
LISC is seeking a dynamic and experienced Creative Director to lead content creation across our organization. This role is integral to overseeing the planning, development, and execution of all marketing and communications content, ensuring alignment with LISC’s mission and goals. The Creative Director will work closely with the National Marketing and Communications team, as well as internal and external partners, to produce high-quality creative work that supports LISC’s initiatives, including fundraising, program development, and community impact.
As a key member of our team, you will manage content creation across various functions and collaborate closely with leadership from the Design team to ensure the execution of creative concepts meets organizational standards. This role will also involve collaborating with stakeholders across LISC’s National and Local programs, Affiliates, and external vendors to deliver strategic messaging and visual storytelling that advances LISC’s brand and mission.
Responsibilities
LISC seeks a Creative Director to join our National Marketing and Communications team to lead all our content creation and development. This role will oversee the planning and execution of all our marketing and communications content, managing both the internal and external teams creating this work.
- Lead the development and execution of all LISC content, overseeing both internal and external workstreams – close partnership and collaboration with the Design team leadership
- Manage content creation contributions across the various functions
- Oversee the strategic content planning across all pillars of the LISC organization – including National/Local including our Program and Affiliate areas
- Oversee the execution of creative work, providing feedback and ensuring high-quality output across all projects
- Present creative concepts to external and internal stakeholders, articulating the strategy and vision behind each idea
- Help to evolve and expand our Marketing efforts, specifically in support of Fund Development activities
- Collaborate across Key Stakeholders to implement any process and change management adjustments
- Partner closely with our external vendors and consultants to help guide the development and placement of any external language
- Organize and curate the LISC All message matrix and usage guidelines.
- Manage the performance and professional development of the staff content creators
- Lead in partnership with our Strategy group and Design team all special project efforts requiring communications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or relevant related work experience
- Minimum 8 year’s work-related experience in leading creative teams focused on clear and impactful storytelling
- Strong organizational skills; efficient and detail-oriented; strong skills in communicating progress on projects and duties.
- Excellent writing and editing skills preferred.
- Knowledge of community development is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple LISC teams and representatives from nonprofit, corporate, philanthropic, and public sectors.
- Capacity to multitask and set priorities for a challenging workload.
- Commitment and/or experience working in the nonprofit sector preferred.
SALARY
LISC offers a competitive salary ($94,400 - $115,500) and excellent fringe benefits.
