About the Role
Litify is looking to hire a Controller to manage Litify’s Accounting function. This person will manage the day-to-day financial operations of the Company, including month-end close, order processing, billing and collections. In addition this person will manage a suite of accounting systems and tools and partner with other team members to streamline and optimize back-end processes. Lastly, this person will report to the CFO of Litify and manage an internal team and external service providers.
In this role, you will:
- Manage accounting operations, including month end close, billing and collections, and cash disbursement activities
- Collaborate on monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting, both internal and external (including investors and lenders)
- Evaluate and optimize existing accounting systems and tools, and lead the implementation of new systems as needed
- Establish and implement accounting policies and controls in accordance with the US GAAP, including ASC 606
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Implement efficiencies to improve accuracy of financial metrics reviewed by management
- Mentor and develop the existing accounting team while maintaining a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement
- Coordinate and manage efforts with external auditors and internal team
- Partner with other functional areas including Finance, Revenue Operations, and Legal as needed
To be successful in this role, you have (required):
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA preferred
- 5-7+ years of experience in PE/VC-backed SaaS company (or public accounting / fractional accounting roles), with 2+ years of managing employees
- Strong knowledge of SaaS accounting principles, including revenue recognition, ASC 606, metrics, etc.
- Strong Excel skills with experience in building financial models
- Strong financial systems knowledge with a history of process improvement and driving automation
- Netsuite and/or Sage (or other major Financial ERP) implementation and/or migration experience
- Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy when both preparing and reviewing work
- Team player with effective written and verbal communication, and personnel management skills
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to present analysis and findings in both verbal and written formats to all levels of management
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with due diligence and evaluating potential M&A transactions
- Experience with M&A integrations
Disclosure:
The estimated pay range for this role is $150,000-$170,000. You may also be offered a bonus and benefits.

Individual pay rate decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skill set, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
