We’re looking for an outstanding AWS Engineer to join our team. This role is available across our primary LATAM hub in Peru.

Who you are

You are an experienced cloud engineer who understands that operating reliable systems starts with understanding what those systems are doing. You bring deep AWS expertise and have designed observability solutions that give engineering teams meaningful visibility into the health, performance, and behavior of complex applications and infrastructure. You are comfortable working across metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerting, and instrumentation, and you know how to turn telemetry into actionable insights, not noise. You communicate clearly with development teams and stakeholders, approach reliability problems methodically, and thrive in a consulting environment where technical environments, clients, and priorities change.

What you will be doing

  • Design and implement observability strategies for applications, infrastructure, containers, and distributed systems running in AWS.
  • Build monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and visualization solutions using AWS services such as CloudWatch, X-Ray, OpenSearch, Managed Service for Prometheus, and Managed Grafana.
  • Instrument applications and services using OpenTelemetry and other modern observability standards and frameworks.
  • Build meaningful dashboards, alerts, SLIs, and SLOs that help teams identify performance and reliability issues before they impact users.
  • Partner with other engineers to improve observability throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle.
  • Design and manage scalable AWS infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native technologies such as Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, and EKS.
  • Analyze production incidents using metrics, logs, and distributed traces to identify root causes and recommend improvements.
  • Help clients improve the performance, reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of their AWS environments while documenting reusable observability patterns and practices.

What you bring to the table

  • Deep hands-on experience designing, building, and operating production environments in AWS across core infrastructure, networking, security, and container services.
  • Strong experience designing observability solutions across metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerting, and application performance monitoring.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as CloudWatch, X-Ray, OpenSearch, Managed Prometheus, and Managed Grafana, along with OpenTelemetry and tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, or Splunk.
  • Experience defining SLIs, SLOs, and alerting strategies and using telemetry to troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and improve system reliability.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native technologies such as Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, or Amazon EKS.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex infrastructure, reliability, and observability concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus points if you…

  • Hold relevant AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer
  • Have experience designing observability solutions for large-scale distributed systems or microservices architectures.
  • Have experience with SRE, incident management, production operations, or optimizing telemetry volume and observability costs at scale.
  • Have a background working directly with clients in a consulting or professional services environment.
