Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

Schedule & Hours: Monday through Thursday, 6:00PM to 4:30AM

We're seeking an Overnight Packaging Supervisor to join our new Gainesville cultivation and production facility. In this role, you'll lead overnight packaging operations, oversee production staff, maintain compliance and quality standards, and help ensure our products reach patients safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Position Summary

As the Overnight Packaging Supervisor, you will oversee daily packaging operations and lead a team responsible for assembling, packaging, and preparing cannabis products for distribution. This role will be supporting our Surterra Wellness operations in Florida.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise and coordinate overnight packaging activities to meet production schedules, quality standards, and operational goals
  • Lead teams operating manual, semi-automated, and fully automated packaging equipment
  • Monitor daily production output and ensure achievement of established productivity and quality targets
  • Oversee assembly and packaging processes for a variety of cannabis products in accordance with company SOPs and state regulations
  • Promote a culture of safety by enforcing workplace safety procedures and proactively addressing safety concerns
  • Manage daily inventory of cannabis and non-cannabis materials, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and partner with Facilities and Operations teams to resolve concerns efficiently
  • Assist with workforce scheduling, workload planning, and inventory forecasting to support uninterrupted production
  • Evaluate process improvements, equipment enhancements, and operational efficiencies in partnership with site leadership
  • Maintain accurate production, inventory, and compliance documentation
  • Train, coach, and develop team members while supporting cross-training initiatives across packaging and production functions
  • Conduct quality audits and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality control standards

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid government-issued photo identification
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, assembly, packaging, or production environments
  • Experience working with manual, semi-automatic, and automated packaging equipment
  • Understanding of process manufacturing and production scaling principles
  • Experience with quality control systems, SOP compliance, and production documentation
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities with proven experience managing multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Operations, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of cannabis industry experience
  • Knowledge of cannabis packaging operations, inventory control, raw material tracking, and compliance requirements
  • Experience leading production or packaging teams in a regulated manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly without assistance
  • Frequent use of computers, scanners, and other production-related equipment
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and production demands
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, reaching, packaging, and data entry activities
