Welcome to the Global Product and Tech: CISO team at LivePerson! We are a global security team of 20 professionals located across North America and EMEA. We are seeking highly motivated individuals to contribute to shaping security initiatives and driving innovation.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to (your tasks): 

  • Design, build, and maintain advanced security measures to protect LivePerson's cloud infrastructure, focusing on GCP (Google Cloud Platform) environments.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices for Kubernetes (GKE) clusters, including network policies, container image security, runtime protection, and access controls.
  • Develop, manage, and secure infrastructure-as-code of our internal tooling using Terraform and Ansible, ensuring all cloud resources we manage are provisioned and configured securely and consistently.
  • Identify and define security needs for our cloud systems, aligning with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Develop technical solutions to enhance system security, reduce attack surface, and automate repetitive security tasks.
  • Serve as an expert to help Security Analyst and Engineering teams with security issues and incident response in cloud-native environments.
  • Document, monitor, and report on various security systems and processes to ensure systems and data remain secure, private, and available.
  • Evaluate and recommend new security tools and technologies that align with our strategy and security objectives.
  • Be available to respond to urgent security issues outside of regular work hours (on-call rotation).

Here are some of the things you'll bring (requirements):

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services such as IAM, VPC, Cloud Armor, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Security Command Center, and Cloud Functions.
  • Practical experience with Kubernetes (GKE), including cluster hardening, admission controllers, service mesh security, and pod security policies.
  • Proven proficiency in Terraform/Ansible for defining, deploying, and managing secure cloud infrastructure.
  • Proven proficiency in working with GitLab/GitHub pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity and access management (IAM) in GCP, and data security principles.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Go, or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with container security concepts, tools (e.g., Aqua, Twistlock, Falco), and best practices.
  • Experience in responding to security incidents and performing forensic analysis within cloud environments.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Security Engineering, Cloud Security, or DevOps Security role within a software or cloud-based company.
  • Must have experience or solid knowledge of EDR, IPS/IDS, and SOAR to support analysts in day-to-day operations.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to participate in paid on-call duty approximately every 6-8 weeks.
