ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Logistics Coordinator to join our team at our office HQ in American Fork. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will use various software to clear queues and complete pending tasks, playing a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our security units and parts to their designated locations. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate shipping logistics, work closely with logistics companies, and solve complex transportation issues to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
*This particular position also requires registering with the state of Utah as an Alarm Agent. This process includes a federal background check/fingerprinting and an application. This is separate from the background check you would complete for general employment eligibility at LVT.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate the shipping of security units and parts, ensuring accurate packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Collaborate with logistics companies to schedule and arrange transportation, considering timing, routes, and delivery deadlines.
- Act as the primary point of contact for logistics companies, providing necessary information and resolving any shipping issues that arise.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex transportation issues, including delays, rerouting, and other logistical challenges.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts for repair or replacement purposes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address any logistical concerns or special requests.
- Place orders for parts needed and coordinate delivery
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with logistics companies, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex logistical problems with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with shipping software, inventory management systems, and MS Office applications.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and unforeseen challenges.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of logistics and transportation operations, including experience coordinating shipments and working with logistics providers a plus.
