As a Data Analyst at LVT, you will be at the heart of the business. You’ll be part of the internal Data Services team, tasked with building out the data, analytics, and reporting infrastructure necessary to empower every other team at LVT. Your work will be consumed by executive leaders and frontline teams alike.
You’ll be surrounded by long-time experts in data analytics, data science, and data engineering who will provide mentoring and training. After a short time on the team, you’ll have an intimate understanding of how all major pillars in the company operate, positioning you as a highly sought-after expert. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Become an expert on all of LVT’s data sources and reporting infrastructure
- Develop analyses to support business decisions and strategic planning
- Work with data engineers to push our data warehouse to the next level
- Ensure data quality by systematically identifying and correcting errors and inconsistencies
- Contribute to the buildout & optimization of LVT’s reporting infrastructure, leveraging tools like Snowflake, Tableau, and Python
- Coordinate with leaders directly to develop a data strategy specifically catered to their specific needs
- Use prescriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics to guide business decisions
- Contribute to efforts to optimize processes across the business, including writing queries to automate reporting and analytics
- Assist in defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and in measuring performance relative to those KPIs
- This is a role of endless growth; you will be expected to learn everything possible about the business and about the functions and needs of every team in the organization so that you can cater your output to maximize the impact on company success
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
- 1+ years of professional work experience
- Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., SQL, Python, R, or similar)
- Strong business intuition
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Drive to get work done regardless of obstacles
- Courage to speak up regardless of the audience
- A need to understand how every piece of the puzzle fits together, and the ability to ask and pry until you get the answers you need
