
Commission Analyst

ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Commissions Analyst to join our Revenue Strategy & Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for calculating, validating, and processing commission payments accurately and on time. You will collaborate with sales, finance, and HR teams to ensure commission plans align with company policies and support business objectives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, data-savvy, and comfortable working with large data sets and commission platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Commission Calculation & Processing
- Calculate and validate commission payments based on sales performance data, quotas, and approved plans.
- Ensure accurate and timely payout processing in accordance with company policies.
- Review and reconcile commission reports to identify discrepancies or errors.
- Partner with Finance and Payroll teams to ensure accurate and on-time commission payments.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Maintain and analyze commission-related data, identifying trends, discrepancies, and variances.
- Prepare and distribute commission statements and reports for sales representatives and leadership.
- Generate ad-hoc reports to support finance, sales, and executive teams.
Plan Administration & Auditing
- Support the implementation of new commission plans and ensure alignment with company policies.
- Collaborate with Sales and HR teams to review and interpret compensation plans.
- Conduct regular audits to verify data accuracy and compliance with plan guidelines.
- Identify and resolve commission disputes, escalating when necessary.
System Management & Optimization
- Manage and maintain commission tracking systems
- Collaborate with IT and Operations to improve automation and efficiency of commission processes.
- Support system upgrades and testing for commission platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in commissions analysis, finance, or sales operations.
- Experience with commission software (e.g., QuotaPath, Xactly, CaptivateIQ) is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (e.g., v-lookups, pivot tables) and data analysis tools.
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
- Experience in B2B SaaS, technology, or a high-growth company.
- Familiarity with SQL or other data query languages is a plus.
- Knowledge of accounting principles related to commission accruals and expense recognition.
