ABOUT THIS ROLE
The company is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Sr. PLM Administrator and System Analyst to manage and optimize our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. This role will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of our PLM environment, primarily focusing on Windchill, Creo, and ThingWorx. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of PLM processes and a proactive approach to system maintenance and improvement.
This role requires a problem-solver with excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to support users and drive PLM system efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
PLM System Administration:
- Manage and maintain the Windchill PLM system, ensuring system stability and performance.
- Configure and customize Windchill to meet business requirements, including workflows, lifecycles, and data structures.
- Perform regular system monitoring, backups, and updates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, working with vendors and internal teams as needed.
System Analysis and Support:
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into system configurations and solutions.
- Provide technical support to users, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to Windchill, Creo, and ThingWorx.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including user guides and training materials.
- Conduct user training sessions on PLM system functionalities and best practices.
Process Improvement and Innovation:
- Identify opportunities to improve PLM processes and system efficiency.
- Participate in PLM system upgrades and implementations, including testing and validation.
- Stay informed about new PLM technologies and trends, and evaluate their potential impact on our systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and other departments to ensure PLM system alignment with business goals.
Data Management:
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the PLM system.
- Manage data migrations, imports, and exports.
- Develop and enforce data management standards and procedures.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and other departments to understand their PLM needs.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding system changes, updates, and issues.
- Provide regular reports and updates on PLM system performance and status.
Change Management:
- Manage the change board to control the changes being requested into the system and its alignment with business process, strategy, and scalability.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in PLM system administration and support.
- Experience with PTC Windchill, Creo, and ThingWorx is required.
- Strong understanding of PLM processes and workflows.
- Proficiency in system configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with data management and migration.
- Familiarity with future PLM technologies and trends is a plus.
