ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a Purchasing Manager, you will optimize procurement operations, negotiate better pricing, and refine payment terms to enhance financial control. You will implement and oversee a structured PO process, ensuring compliance, improved forecasting, and strategic alignment with business priorities. Partnering with functional leaders, you will streamline supplier management, consolidate vendor spend, and support contract reviews. By monitoring compliance and reporting on cost-saving impacts, you will play a key role in driving operational efficiency and financial health.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Negotiate better pricing on large item non-production spend, amend payment and billing terms to maximize working capital
- Help employees efficiently procure items they need to accomplish business priorities
- Business partner with functional leaders on procurement needs
- Implement and handle the day to day operations of a PO program
- Work on implementing a travel program and managing those costs
- Vendor qualification on new vendors
- Consolidate vendor spend if applicable
- Help legal with contract review for suppliers
- Supplier setup and maintenance in ERP (segregation of duties)
- Work with IT on procurement system maintenance
- Make sure we have all contracts for non-production spend indexed and stored properly
- Monitor compliance and report on results of cost savings and impact to the business
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years work experience in purchasing
- Public company technology experience preferable
- Strong negotiating, analytical and writing skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field
- Can work cross-functionally with internal teams and will be an excellent representative of the company with outside suppliers
- Work at HQ in American Fork
