This pivotal role at LVT combines deep technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills to drive sales success. As a Sales Engineer, you will be the technical face of our product, traveling to client sites and attend customer calls to deliver demonstrations of our latest features and functionalities. You will act as a trusted advisor, translating complex technical concepts into clear business value, addressing customer questions and concerns, and ensuring our solutions perfectly align with their needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technical Sales Support & Demonstrations: Partner with the sales team to understand customer needs, present tailored technical solutions, and conduct compelling product demonstrations showcasing new features and functionality. You'll translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions.
- Customer Engagement & Relationship Building: Act as a primary technical point of contact for prospective and existing clients, building trust and rapport. You'll address technical questions, concerns, and objections during the sales process, ensuring a smooth and confident customer experience.
- Solution Design & Customization: Collaborate with customers to assess their technical requirements and design optimal solutions using our product suite. You'll develop technical proposals and detailed solution architectures that align with client goals.
- Product Expertise & Feedback: Maintain an expert-level understanding of our product's features, capabilities, and the competitive landscape, with a particular focus on new releases. You'll gather customer feedback on new functionality and relay it to product development and engineering teams to influence future enhancements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: 10 years in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, or similar customer-facing technical role.
- Technical Acumen: Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and master complex software or hardware solutions, especially new features and functionalities.
- Demonstration Skills: Proven ability to deliver engaging and persuasive technical demonstrations to diverse audiences, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts and value propositions.
- Problem-Solving: A consultative approach to understanding customer challenges and designing effective technical solutions.
- Customer Focus: A passion for helping customers succeed and a commitment to providing excellent service.
- Travel Readiness: Ability and willingness to travel extensively to client locations.
