ABOUT THIS ROLE
We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Project Manager (JPM) to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an ambitious individual looking to build a career in IT project management. The JPM will be responsible for managing smaller-scale IT initiatives, supporting senior project managers on larger programs, and ensuring the smooth, organized execution of projects from inception to completion. RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Execution & Management
- Manages Smaller IT Projects
- Independently runs smaller, crucial IT operational initiatives such as IT Intake processes, Helpdesk Triage improvements, and short-cycle IT enhancements.
- Task Management
- Manages assigned projects and tasks to successful completion, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail in all deliverables.
- Coordination & Administration
- Supports overall project efforts through essential administrative tasks, coordination of meetings, and documentation management.
- Drive ITPMO team OKRs
- Assist leadership with developing, guiding, and ensuring the ITPMO team stays on track with OKRs.
Planning & Process Development
- Project Methodology
- Familiar with project management approaches, such as Agile or Waterfall, to plan and manage project milestones under supervision.
- Requirements and Analysis
- Assists with the gathering and documentation of project requirements from stakeholders.
- Process Modeling
- Aids in building and documenting process flows and procedures to visualize and improve workflow efficiency.
- Development Coordination
- Works closely with technical development teams to sequence and plan their work effort and dependencies.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Business Partnership
- Works closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, refine scope, and continuously refine and improve solutions.
- Communication
- Serves as a key communication link between business stakeholders and technical teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience in an IT, organizational, or administrative support role is preferred.
- Project Management Fundamentals: Understanding of basic project management concepts and lifecycles.
- Team Collaboration: Works effectively within a team environment, fostering positive relationships and a collaborative atmosphere.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Demonstrates the ability to manage tasks efficiently and maintain attention to detail.
- Excellent Communication: Proficient in both verbal and written communication, enabling effective interaction with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Proactive Self-Starter: Capable of taking initiative, owning tasks, and driving them to completion while seeking guidance and feedback as needed.
