ABOUT THIS ROLE 

The Supplier Quality Manager will lead a team of technicians responsible for ensuring LVT delivers high quality and reliable products to customers. You will be responsible for supporting and managing related ISO 9001 quality management systems. You will work with production, service support and suppliers, along with other functions at LVT. You will set standards, create processes and guide improvements to assure quality and minimize costs. You will be responsible for reporting trends, reducing defects from suppliers and solving problems. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a liaison between the company and suppliers, addressing quality issues and ensuring timely communication
  • Track, manage, and resolve supplier nonconformities and quality issues through implementation of corrective and preventative actions
  • Monitor supplier performance and lead supplier development initiatives to enhance quality and reliability
  • Prepare reports and present findings to management 
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality metrics and dashboards
  • Ensure products and materials meet specifications and quality standards
  • Conduct quality inspections, audits, and testing of incoming materials and products
  • Conduct audits on suppliers
  • Maintain accurate records of supplier quality data and audit results
  • Oversee equipment and other materials that are utilized by the Supplier Quality team
  • Provide overall supervision and guidance of Supplier Quality team by setting goals and objectives while coaching and mentoring personnel in their responsibilities
  • Demonstrate leadership in handling performance reviews, career development and engagement
  • Generates procedures and manages the return process
  • Ensure compliance with quality management system (QMS) requirements
  • Knowledge of engineering GD&T principles

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS/BA in engineering, manufacturing, business management or related field
  • 2 or more years in a quality supplier system position in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of lean and six sigma philosophy to improve processes 
  • Knowledge of process control, root cause analysis and other quality improvement tools and techniques
  • Experience performing audits
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Quality Control Procedures and standard practices
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 2015 Standard
  • Works well with others and on teams
