Principal, Investor Relations and Capital Formation
LLR Partners is hiring a Principal, Investor Relations and Capital Formation to partner with LLR’s Head of Investor Relations across fundraising strategy, execution, and team leverage. This is a senior, high trust role to help translate LLR’s investment approach and value-creation capabilities into clear fundraising strategy and compelling communications for current and prospective investors, while building the operating discipline required for a scalable IR function. The role combines complex project leadership and content development with direct Limited Partner (LP), consultant, and placement-agent engagement.
Accountabilities
- Partner with the Head of Investor Relations on the integrated plan for LLR’s next fundraising cycle, including priorities, workplans, milestones, and cross-functional execution.
- Own a meaningful coverage lane with selected LPs, consultants, placement agents, and other capital partners; build trusted relationships and coordinate timely, tailored communications.
- Oversee complex investor materials, fundraising narratives, presentations, DDQs and RFPs, analyses, and other content that requires sound judgment, strong writing, and careful synthesis.
- Create a reliable operating cadence across Investor Relations, Finance, Legal, the investment team, Value Creation, and external providers, with clear ownership, deadlines, approvals, and version control.
- Strengthen the team’s systems, CRM discipline, pipeline visibility, reporting, and repeatable processes as LLR continues to grow.
- Help shape team priorities, ways of working, and development while concurrently supporting the quality and consistency of the firm’s investor-facing work.
Skills and Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in investor relations, capital formation, placement advisory, private-markets consulting, asset management, or a related private-markets role.
- Experience working with institutional investors, LPs, consultants, fund managers, senior executives, or other sophisticated stakeholders.
- Exceptional writing, editing, presentation, analytical, and project-management skills, with the ability to move from strategy to details without losing either.
- Working fluency in private-markets concepts, including fund structures, commitments, capital calls and distributions, portfolio performance, and fundraising processes.
- Sound judgment, discretion, responsiveness, and the ability to represent LLR credibly with senior internal and external audiences.
- A collaborative, low-ego working style and the ability to lead through influence across a team and firm with multiple priorities.
- Willingness to work in LLR’s Philadelphia office and up to 50% travel as required.
