THE ROLE

Localcoin is building the future of digital currency, operating the largest cryptocurrency kiosk network in Australia. We take pride in delivering high-quality support to our customers and are committed to building a truly customer-focused organization. To support this mission, we’re looking for an entrepreneurial, self-starting marketer who’s passionate about bringing our vision to life.

We’re hiring someone on the ground in Australia to own and execute local marketing initiatives. This is a hybrid role, with 2 days per week based at our Kingsgrove office. It’s a hands-on, execution-driven position with a focus on:

• Customer acquisition (50%)
• Retailer expansion (13%)
• Brand trust — including scam awareness and PR (25%)
• Quality assurance — including marketing audits and systems (12%)

You’ll serve as the bridge between global strategy and local execution, adapting and implementing initiatives for the Australian market. Experience in in-store marketing is a strong asset, and the role reports directly to the Director of Marketing.

Customer Acquisition & Local Growth

• Execute localized initiatives to improve transaction volume.
• Improve rankings for high-intent searches (e.g., “Bitcoin ATM”).
• Identify and fix gaps across directories, maps, and third-party platforms.
• Launch hyper-local campaigns to drive foot traffic.

Retailer Acquisition & Retention Marketing

• Execute outbound and inbound initiatives targeting retail partners (convenience stores, gas stations, etc.)
• Collaborate with the global team on projects such as new store launches, product launches in-store promotions, and key initiatives.
• Improve visibility and credibility of Localcoin as a retail partner.
• Work closely with BD/sales to improve conversion of leads to signed locations.

 PR & Scam Awareness

• Execute local campaigns focused on scam prevention and education.
• Build relationships with community groups, forums, and local organizations.
• Support PR efforts to position Localcoin as a trusted and responsible operator.

Campaign Execution

• Execute organic campaigns localized for Australia.
• Adapt global campaigns to fit local market realities.
• Assist in managing customer retention programs across Australia.
• Ensure consistency across all location-level marketing touchpoints.
• Track performance and continuously improve results.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

• 3+ years of experience in SEO, local marketing, or growth-focused roles.
• Strong project management skills with proven end-to-end ownership—from execution to reporting and clear, actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingualism is an asset.
• A collaborative team player who can work cross-functionally and keep stakeholders aligned.
• Solid understanding of local SEO strategies and best practices to drive visibility and traffic.
• A creative thinker who brings new ideas and looks for ways to improve processes.

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience in community engagement or public relations.
• Background in regulated industries (e.g., fintech, crypto, healthcare, real estate).
