As a Solutions Engineer – Warehouse Automation, you will be an integral part of our global Locus team, playing a key role in expanding our presence and driving success in the warehouse robotics automation market across the APAC region.
You will work closely with customers as a key point of contact throughout the entire automation journey—from pre-sales conceptualization to post-deployment optimization—designing, planning, managing, and deploying complex robotic fulfillment solutions for warehouse automation projects.
Based in Sydney or Melbourne, this role will primarily support customers in Australia, while also providing support to New Zealand, Singapore, and Japan as needed.
Responsibilities
- Act as a key point of contact for customers throughout the automation journey, from pre-sales conceptualization to post-deployment optimization.
- Design and develop warehouse automation solutions tailored to customer needs, optimizing workflows, fleet sizing, and system integration.
- Perform data analysis and process modeling to validate solution feasibility, demonstrating expected performance improvements and ROI.
- Work closely with Sales, Solutions Design, and the local Customer Success team in Australia to translate customer challenges into scalable automation concepts and drive solution adoption.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and regional teams to support international expansion and business growth initiatives across APAC with a focus on Australia.
- Lead technical discussions with customers, providing clear insights into system capabilities, benefits, and deployment considerations.
- Coordinate and support project execution post-sale, ensuring successful deployments by working with internal teams across engineering, customer success, and operations.
- Manage project timelines, risks, and dependencies, ensuring seamless communication between stakeholders.
- Train and support customers on system functionality, best practices, and ongoing performance optimization.
- Continuously monitor customer performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and working with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements.
- Drive customer success by fostering long-term relationships and supporting operational growth through solution refinement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Robotics Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Solutions Design, Customer Success, or Project Management within warehouse automation, logistics, and/or supply chain
- Experience coordinating hardware and software deployments and managing stakeholders to ensure successful system implementation.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data modeling, warehouse simulation, and operational analysis, including data interpretation, trend identification, and reporting.
- Knowledge of warehouse automation, robotics, fulfillment processes, and material flow optimization in e-commerce, retail, or third-party logistics.
- Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS) and integration into automation solutions.
- Experience with Linux or Unix systems, ROS (Robot Operating System), and SLAM-based navigation desirable.
- Skilled in supporting cross-functional teams across international time zones, including the US, Europe, and APAC regions.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Proficient English written and verbal communications skills required to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to travel to customer sites across the APAC region, with a primary focus on Australia and occasional travel to New Zealand, Singapore, and Japan.
