General Foreman
Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled, motivated, and experienced General Foreman to supervise crews on complex construction projects.
The General Foreman is responsible for safety, scheduling, assignment and supervision of manpower, work performance, material procurement and planning, quality control, communication with the project team, and onsite customer relations.
Job Functions

Must have experience running electrical projects valued up to $10 million.

Effectively and strategically plan work, schedule manpower and tasks to minimize labor costs, order material and equipment ahead of scheduled installations, and manage tools.

Must be able to read and understand drawings, submittals, specifications, and BIM detailing.

Demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills.

Stay up to date with changing technology, Loenbro business systems, electrical codes, and safety practices.

Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
Responsibilities
-
Test electrical systems using appropriate tools to identify issues, ensure system safety, and confirm compatibility.

Document actions, testing results, observations, final diagnoses, and steps taken to resolve issues for each project or situation.

Determine necessary steps to assess and troubleshoot electrical situations using testing devices, blueprints, and maps.

Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements; report any violations of policies, procedures, or guidelines to a supervisor.

Use ladders, scaffolding, and lifts to work on electrical systems in commercial properties.

Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they remain in good condition and safe for use.

Maintain general housekeeping and organization of the work area.

Bend conduits ranging from ½″ to 4″.

Utilize required tools and equipment for each specific task as needed.
Qualifications
-
10+ years of experience in the electrical trade

Ability to develop and manage construction schedules for large-scale projects and adjust as needed

Ability to contribute to installations or direct others through the installation and troubleshooting process

Ability to coordinate manpower and resource needs effectively
-
Ability to coordinate or place material orders following price comparisons

Maintain compliance with company, state, and OSHA safety standards
Work Environment:
- This position may require travel to various project sites.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.
Potential Hazards:
- Outside most of the time
- Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures
- Manufacturing and refining environment
- Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels
- Limited working surfaces
- Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors
- Exposure to areas with limited visibility
- Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights)
- Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time on a monthly basis for required tasks
- Potential or Periodic amounts of time for the following:
- If driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
Essential Requirements:
- Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of 2 miles per day
- Standing
- Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel
- Use of respirator if position requires
- Driving if required to travel
