Position Overview: The Automation Technician / Programmer Technician performs work of high skill in the inspection, calibration, repair, testing, adjusting, installation and removal of electronic equipment and systems. This position will work closely with the Automation specialists to ensure quality repairs, device installations and integration of the automation systems and other equipment while maintaining and modifying components to full-service capacity. Automation Technician / Programmer Technician must possess skills to perform electrical troubleshooting installs and repairs.

Job Duties:

• Must have 5 to 10 years of Oilfield Automation experience.

• Must have experience with various types of HMI development and integration.
• Ability to design and maintain various software applications for on-premises SCADA servers.
• Ability to interpret P&ID's, Electrical drawings, Control Narratives and Shutdown Keys.
• Must be organized and detail oriented.
• Must have experience programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining various types of PLC's, RTU's, SCADA and Communication equipment.
• In depth knowledge building and operating virtual machines.
• Experience with various types of industrial applications including but not limited to applications for: IDEC, ABB, Emerson, etc.

Qualifications

• Must have 5 to 10 years of Oilfield Automation experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn new software tools.
• Must meet all jobsite access requirements and have no restrictions from any project partners or clients.
• Must be 21 years of age to operate a company vehicle.
• Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proficient with NEC (national electrical code).
• Reliable and dependable (punctual).
• Capable of working independently and in a team environment.
• Arrive fit for work every day.
• Willing to work flexible hours.
• Display a self-motivated, strong work ethic.
• Have a safety-first mindset.
