Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Learning & Development Programs Manager, reporting to the Director of Learning & Development, to join our L&D Team at Loenbro University. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-impact training programs that support employee growth and organizational success as we scale and grow.  The Learning and Development Manager will lead our L&D programs through all stages of creation to implementation, work closely with leadership and subject matter experts to create engaging learning experiences that enhance skills, knowledge, and performance.  In this role, you will be working with Loenbro's leadership team to promote leadership training, mentorship programs, non-technical training, and other development opportunities while maintaining high quality standards.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Visionary for instructional design and course development; ILT, ELT, job aids, and assessments.
  • Ensure all training programs align with company policies, industry standards, regulatory requirements, values, and culture; ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
  • Lead direct reports and manage their schedules, project timelines in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.
  • Evaluate and suggest recommendations from course assessments and training feedback to ensure performance metrics are met and continuously improve learning programs.
  • Manage our employee onboarding 30-60-90-day programs.
  • Manage and update L&D SOPs.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to translate technical content into accessible and engaging training materials.
  • Support administration of the Learning Management System (LMS) to track and manage training programs; assess and collaborate to upgrade functionality of site.
  • Mentor and support training personnel and other team members in developing instructional best-practices.
  • Stay current with best practices in technical learning and instructional design to enhance training initiatives.

 

Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Education in L&D, workforce development, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Experience managing or training staff.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Growth mindset when problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
  • Experience with LMS or training management software.
  • Experience with content authoring software.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree related to learning and development.
  • Construction background.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

  • Indoor office setting with controlled temperature.

  • Occasional Saturday for operational support.

This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
