Job Summary
Loenbro is seeking experienced, skilled Ironworker Foreman for projects located in the Great Falls, MT area. In this position you will assist in the supervision of activities to assure optimum productivity and compliance. We are looking for a competent field supervisor to coordinate operations and oversee workers at jobsites. As the point of reference of both workers and supervisors, you will be a key person for the completion of a project.
The successful candidate will have a solid background in erecting, modifying structural steel in an industrial construction setting. Your leadership skills and your experience have earned you the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. You must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else.
The project is for the United States Army Corps of Engineers and will require a background check to gain site access. Davis-Bacon wages will be paid.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Coordinates and supervises daily activities of crew.
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
- Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew.
- Allocate general and daily responsibilities.
- Supervise and train workers.
- Ensure labor and resources are adequate.
- Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are followed.
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
- Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget.
- Resolve problems when they arise.
- Report progress to managers, engineers etc.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years’ experience as an Ironworker Foreman OR Structural Steel Foreman.
- TWIC Card and/or Real ID’s are required.
- Able to manage team members and multiple projects.
- Knowledge of reading and interpreting sketches, blueprints, and detailed drawings.
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
- Ensure labor and resources.
Preferred:
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks during long shifts.Skilled in math which includes adding and subtracting fractions.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must pass a background check and do a drug screening.

Work Environment:
- Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
- Manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environment.
- Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels.
- Limited working surfaces.
- Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
- Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
