Job Summary
Loenbro is looking for an experienced heavy equipment operator to join our team. We are looking for experienced people who can operate track hoe, skid steer, telehandler for a variety of construction projects. This position is responsible for operating heavy equipment, preparing job sites, performing basic maintenance on machinery, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines.
The project is for the United States Army Corps of Engineers and will require a background check to gain site access. Davis-Bacon wages will be paid.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.
- Perform light maintenance on equipment as required to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to all safety regulations to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
- Submit daily reports detailing equipment status, work progress, and any issues encountered.
- Operate a diverse range of heavy equipment to support project needs and ensure efficient completion of tasks.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- TWIC Card and/or Real ID’s are required.
- PEC certificate holders are preferred.
- Highschool Diploma or GED required.3+ years of operating heavy equipment experience required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and skills.
Preferred:
- Must be able to clearly explain steps and provide clear directions.
- Must be able to complete and complete the paperwork required for purchase orders, time sheets, etc. and answer questions about the construction processes for field staff and other subcontractors.
- Must be willing to embrace the company’s core values.

Work Environment:
- Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
- Manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environment.
- Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels.
- Limited working surfaces.
- Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
- Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
