Loft Federal is seeking a Director, Business Development focused on the Intelligence Community to lead customer engagement, campaign strategy, and growth execution across national intelligence space missions. Reporting to the Vice President of Growth, this role is responsible for establishing and expanding Loft Federal’s footprint within the Intelligence Community through disciplined customer engagement and mission aligned campaign development. 

This role is deeply customer facing and requires credibility, discretion, and operational understanding within classified environments. The Director will define long term business development strategies, manage a portfolio of IC campaigns, and work closely with Capture Managers, engineering, and product teams to translate mission needs into executable capture strategies and contract wins. 

The ideal candidate understands how the Intelligence Community plans, acquires, and fields space based capabilities and brings an existing network of trusted customer relationships. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Serve as the primary customer facing executive for Intelligence Community accounts 
  • Define and execute long term business development and campaign strategies 
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior IC stakeholders and mission owners 
  • Identify, qualify, and shape new opportunities aligned with Loft Federal’s capabilities 
  • Lead capture strategy development including value propositions, teaming, and win approaches 
  • Oversee multiple classified and unclassified campaigns with Capture Manager support 
  • Guide investment priorities and alignment with product and engineering roadmaps 
  • Coordinate internal teams to ensure solutions reflect mission realities 
  • Support proposal shaping, executive reviews, and customer engagement activities 
  • Represent Loft Federal within appropriate classified and industry forums 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Fifteen or more years of experience in business development or capture supporting the Intelligence Community 
  • Direct experience operating within classified acquisition and operational environments 
  • Strong understanding of IC space missions including ISR, GEOINT, tactical surveillance, and mission integration 
  • Demonstrated success leading complex and sensitive capture campaigns 
  • Proven ability to manage customer portfolios and long term campaigns 
  • Excellent communication skills across technical, operational, and executive audiences 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Existing network across Intelligence Community agencies and mission partners 
  • Experience supporting SCI and SAP level programs 
  • Familiarity with non traditional acquisition and rapid capability insertion models 
  • Product or mission integration experience 
  • Demonstrated discretion and sound judgment in sensitive environments 
  • Active Top Secret SCI clearance 

OTE: This role offers a competitive compensation package with On-Target Earnings (OTE). Your OTE is a combination of a base salary and a significant variable commission structure based on achieving a teams sales target. 

Per Colorado law, we are required to disclose the base compensation range for this role. This range is intentionally wide as we assess individuals based on their unique abilities and experience to find the best fit for our needs. Ultimately, your compensation will be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Salary Range

$200,000 - $250,000 USD
