Manager, Cybersecurity

About the role
As the Manager, Cybersecurity, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our platform and corporate infrastructure. You will lead the implementation and maintenance of robust security controls, policies, and procedures. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires a deep understanding of cloud security, risk management, compliance frameworks, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategies. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and IT operations teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our services and data.
Core Responsibilities:
- Leading an existing team of Infosec Analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and and high performance, including career development, day-to-day task prioritization, and performance management
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with industry best practices and relevant compliance frameworks.
- Oversee security assessments, vulnerability management programs, and penetration testing activities to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
- Manage and maintain security tools and technologies.
- Develop and execute incident response plans, participate in security investigations, and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to integrate security and ensure secure development practices.
- Monitor the threat landscape, analyze emerging security threats, and proactively implement preventative measures.
- Conduct regular security awareness training for employees to promote a strong security culture across the organization.
- Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and service providers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant security certifications are a strong plus.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or people management capacity.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and experience securing SaaS environments.
- Demonstrated experience with security frameworks and compliance standards relevant to SaaS companies.
- Solid technical skills in areas such as network security, application security, vulnerability management, incident response, and security monitoring.
- Experience working with SaaS hosted tools and services around Identity, Security, and Controls Management.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to articulate technical security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
The anticipated base salary range for the role is $115,000 - $160,000 per year + variable + equity + benefits. Actual salaries may vary and will be based on factors, such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Internal candidates who have current pay within or above the hiring range are still encouraged to apply if interested.
