Position Summary: 

This position will be responsible for supporting category management, sourcing, and reporting for our client, located in Hampton, NH.  Core responsibilities will include working closely with business stakeholders across multiple categories (including Marketing, Corporate Services, Facilities, Information Technology, FF&E, Tailspend, and Distribution & Logistics), category reporting (spend, savings, lead times, supplier management), and acting as a conduit to our Shared Services Center.

Responsibilities:

As a category leader, you will work directly with the LogicSource managing director, client procurement specialist, and business stakeholders to develop, execute, and track detailed category management strategies. This will include:

  • Review of budgets and regular meetings with stakeholders to develop a sourcing calendar
  • Lead execution of RFPs and other sourcing events.  For large sourcing events, you will be able to leverage off-site subject matter experts in LogicSource's shared services centers
  • In collaboration with a managing director and client procurement specialist, act as a point of contact for all in-scope indirect categories of responsibility, including sourcing and qualification of new suppliers
  • Facilitate and lead efforts to move categories into LogicSource’s OneMarket Portfolio and Sourcing systems for sourcing project management, RFx event execution and savings reporting
  • Participate in value engineering projects to drive technical improvements within your categories
  • Supplier performance monitoring and development
  • Preparation of savings tracking and reporting for client leadership and stakeholder business units
  • Tracking and presentation of project statuses
  • Identify and problem-solve project risks/issues, escalating when necessary to resolve issues affecting our ability to deliver on client expectations
  • Develop internal client relationships; facilitate communication between client business units, internal stakeholders and suppliers 
  • Provide first-rate customer service to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Learn the client's culture and adapt to it while maintaining the cultural standards of LogicSource

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience required
  •  5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing & procurement of goods and services.
  • Ability to operate independently as well as interact with vendors, and internal or client stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Keen ability to deliver on client expectations, influencing others or escalating as needed to do so.
  • Ability to understand and manage complicated operational details and communicate this clearly based on the audience (client and/or internal partners).
  • Analytically adept with the ability to interpret complex data for informed decision-making and to assess results.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including PowerPoint and Excel/financial analysis and planning.
  • Exposure to demand planning/forecasting
  • Proven ability to build relationships, work well with people in a constantly changing environment, and gain credibility in areas beyond the defined scope of work
  • Customer-focused attitude with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels; Excellent client interfacing skills
  • Proven technical knowledge across some or all of the following retail procurement categories:
    • Marketing
    •  Professional Services
    • Facilities
    • Information Technology
    • FF&E
    • Distribution & Logistics
    • Tail spend Management
  • Demonstrated success in managing vendors, negotiating and managing high-value contracts
  • Previous experience in a services industry (e.g. professional consulting, BPO, outsourcing) is helpful.
  • Exposure to or experience working with corporate teams at all levels from creative to the C-Suite
  • Experience with e-sourcing software (Oracle, SAP Ariba, Coupa or other cloud-based systems) is a plus

Travel: This hybrid position will require commitment to on-site work at the client location in Hampton, New Hampshire, multiple times a week, with some additional out-of-state travel.

NOTE: The listed compensation range reflects the anticipated base pay for this role. Final compensation will be determined based on location, experience, and job-related factors, and may include additional benefits consistent with applicable pay transparency laws.

Pay Range

$70,000 - $155,000 USD
