Position Summary:

In this role, you will be a key member of our Strategic Sourcing Center, executing strategies for large-scale development and procurement projects for our clients.

Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies as a key part of our solution to deliver on client objectives for IT, and related categories including hardware, software, and services.
  • Provide insight and subject matter expertise to clients and internal departments spanning the entire client relationship lifecycle.
  • Analyze client spending and procurement processes to identify opportunities to optimize efficiency, process compliance, quality, and cost.
  • Manage and effectively deliver multiple projects on time and with the appropriate results.
  • Build, manage and execute large-scale and multi-client RF(x)s through our sourcing software.
  • Lead discovery sessions and review RF(x) documents and strategy directly with the client.
  • Create templates in Ariba.
  • Gather pertinent information and enter data.
  • Launch RF(x)s and monitor vendor progress.
  • Process large amounts of client data to compile market baskets and vendor panels for RF(x).
  • Summarize RF(x) results for presentation to SMEs or other internal stakeholders.
  • Source suppliers and foster strong supplier relationships.
  • Negotiate best pricing and service through the application of LogicSource’s sourcing methodology.
  • Counsel internal and client stakeholders on specifications improvement and value engineering to drive cost containment and savings.
  • Ensure strategies can be executed in compliance with appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Foster LogicSource’s vendor ecosystem by maintaining in-depth knowledge of and relationships with the national vendor marketplace.
  • Advise client teams on vendor performance, strategic alliances, and opportunities to leverage total spending under management.
  • Maintain a supplier management structure and process to vet, on board, monitor, and audit suppliers.
  • Support onsite teams in resolving vendor issues, as necessary.
  • Remain abreast of the latest industry innovations and continually feed information to those serving our clients.
  • Identify and share technical best practices across various client engagements.
  • Provide first-rate customer service to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, internal and external.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to clients.

The Ideal Candidate Possesses the Following Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of seven to ten years’ cross-functional experience in managing the procurement process, vendors and contracts at the Director or Manager Level.
  • Demonstrated success in IT and Indirect Procurement or supply chain management roles, developing RF(x)s for indirect materials.
  • Expertise in IT Hardware, Software, Telecom, and all related IT/Telecom Services.
  • Additional Indirect Procurement categories experience such as Legal, Professional Services, is a plus. 
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn.
  • Prior experience interfacing with clients and/or stakeholders at all organizational levels, especially within a services industry (e.g., professional consulting, BPO, outsourcing).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Experience with e-sourcing software is a plus, specifically, familiarity with SAP Ariba.
  • Ability to operate independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the proven ability to interact effectively with suppliers, and internal or client stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Experience with inventory management, requisitioning, fulfillment, and distribution is a plus.
  • Detail oriented with the keen ability deliver on client expectations, influencing others or escalating as needed to do so.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and gain credibility in areas beyond defined scope of work.
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
  • Analytically adept with strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability and flexibility to travel to clients and suppliers.

Travel: This position travels up to >5% of the time.

NOTE: The listed compensation range reflects the anticipated base pay for this role. Final compensation will be determined based on location, experience, and job-related factors, and may include additional benefits consistent with applicable pay transparency laws.

Pay Range

$97,500 - $190,000 USD
