We’re seeking a software engineer or cloud account manager who aims to transition into a Technical Sales Representative role. Someone who loves the rush of helping businesses succeed by advising the most appropriate technical solutions and derives genuine joy from diagnosing cloud architecture challenges. Your engineering and/or cloud account management experience is more important than your sales record: The former builds the kind of knowledge you’ll need to hit the ground running; the latter you’ll earn along the way.

Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the sales process (prospecting, sales meetings, company introductions and presentations, proposals, negotiations and account management).
Build, nurture and maintain relationships with potential clients and partners, including in-person meetings, lunches, conferences etc.
Support the Sales team to solve software challenges and close deals.
Independently own technical conversations with clients.
Understand the client’s business environment and communicate Loka’s value proposition clearly. Your ability to comprehend how software products are built, beyond just memorizing selling points, is crucial.
Maintain current sales performance coaching software industry and product knowledge.
Conduct market research to generate new business opportunities.
Organize, update and maintain sales records.
Update our internal sales systems and data dashboards.
Support stakeholders with data and asset resources.
Manage projects for various sales initiatives.
Requirements
MUST HAVE
10+ years in a technical role like, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer or traditional Engineering, or Product Manager.
Solid understanding of data infrastructure, machine learning, and/or cloud architectures.
Experience with Amazon Web Services and understanding of core AWS Services.
Ability to travel to meet clients and attend industry events up to 25% of the month.
Native English fluency and US-based.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (Green Card holder)
STRONGLY PREFERRED
Analytical and problem-solving skills and aptitude for learning quickly
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with varying deadlines and adapt to changes in environment and priorities
Attention to detail and comfort within fast-paced work environment
US working hours, slightly heavier on morning meetings especially for San Francisco based candidates.

Key Responsibilities
Work alongside Loka Sales Leads to nurture and close high-value clients.
Assist in the end-to-end sales process from introduction to signature.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders at AWS virtually and in person.
Collaborate closely with our engineering team to define project scopes and ensure the successful delivery of solutions.
Represent our company at industry events and conferences to enhance our visibility and expand our network.
Work closely with sales leads, engineers and project managers to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or a related field; advanced degree (MS, PhD) a plus
Minimum of 3+ years of technical experience in engineering, AI/ML, data science, product management, solution architecture, sales engineering or a related field OR equivalent experience in a priority vertical such as Healthcare or Life Sciences
Proven track record in a customer-facing role, preferably within the technology sector
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts, especially in the data and infrastructure space
Good organizational skills and ability to manage a wide range of diverse projects and customer needs concurrently
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
Ability to travel to meet clients and attend industry events up to 25% of the month

DevOps Lead

We’re seeking a DevOps Lead to deploy, secure and maintain robust applications in production environments, mainly AWS. The ideal candidate will not only apply their technical brilliance but also take a leadership role in contributing positively to Loka’s unique culture.
The Role
Build and design cloud infrastructure (mainly AWS).
Lead technical projects from architecture to implementation.
Orchestrate containers with Kubernetes.
Automate operations and implement CI/CD pipelines.
Ensure security compliance.
Assess change implementation options, benefits and risks and recommend the most appropriate approach with minimal assistance.
Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, conducting regular one-on-one meetings and providing clear, constructive feedback.
Hard Skills Requirements
5+ years DevOps experience, 3+ years managing a team
Serverless compute, scripting, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes experience
GitOps, CI/CD tools, AWS CDK/Terraform/CDKTF
NodeJS, TypeScript, Python, database administration (a plus)
