Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of the sales process (prospecting, sales meetings, company introductions and presentations, proposals, negotiations and account management).
Build, nurture and maintain relationships with potential clients and partners, including in-person meetings, lunches, conferences etc.
Foster AWS relationship with existing and new teams to generate your own pipeline
Own the pre-sales journey with Loka prospects, with the support of the engineering team.
Understand the client’s business environment and communicate Loka’s value proposition clearly. Your ability to comprehend how software products are built—beyond just memorizing selling points—is crucial.
Maintain current sales performance coaching software industry and product knowledge.
Conduct market research to generate new business opportunities.
Support stakeholders with data and asset resources.
Manage projects for various sales initiatives.
Requirements
MUST HAVE
5+ years of sales experience in professional services or adjacent product selling experience
Experience in environments with exposure to data infrastructure, machine learning and/or cloud architectures
Experience working with cloud services, preferably with AWS, and strong understanding of core AWS services
Ability to travel to meet clients and attend industry events up to 25% of the month
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with varying deadlines and adapt to changes in and market
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills
Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
STRONGLY PREFERRED
Analytical and problem-solving skills and aptitude for learning quickly
Experience working for a cloud provider or cloud consulting partner
Previous experience in technical sales
Attention to detail and comfort within fast-paced work environment
US working hours, with emphasis on morning meetings for San Francisco-based candidates
Benefits
Salary range $150,000 to $175,000

Key Responsibilities
Own the full sales cycle post-prospecting, including discovery, client meetings, presentations, proposals, negotiations and ongoing account management, aligning with TSLs for strategic input if needed.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders at AWS.
Collaborate closely with our engineering team to define project scopes and ensure the successful delivery of solutions.
Represent Loka at industry events and conferences to enhance our visibility and expand our network.
Work closely with sales leads, engineers and project managers to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or a related field; advanced degree (MS, PhD) a plus
Minimum of 3+ years of technical experience in engineering, AI/ML, data science, product management, solution architecture, sales engineering or a related field OR equivalent experience in a priority vertical such as Healthcare or Life Sciences
Proven track record in a customer-facing role, preferably within the technology sector
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts, especially in the data and infrastructure space
Good organizational skills and ability to manage a wide range of diverse projects and customer needs concurrently
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
Ability to travel to meet clients and attend industry events up to 25% of the month
Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

Regional Human Resources Business Partner

As Loka’s Regional Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a positive employee experience and supporting managers and employees across the organization. This role requires someone who can balance regional operational excellence with global strategic alignment, serving as the key HR leader for the West Europe region. You will act as a trusted advisor on HR-related matters at our Portugal office and support employees across the EU, handle employee relations and drive key HR initiatives including performance management, compliance and employee engagement. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence Loka’s workplace culture, develop and implement impactful HR strategies and support the growth of a global, dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
Support managers and employees through regular meetings, career coaching, conflict resolution and performance management across Portugal & the Western European region.
Partner with leadership to translate business goals into people strategies and HR solutions.
Contribute to global strategic HR planning, shaping initiatives with global insights at scale.
Drive the performance-management cycle (goal-setting, reviews, development plans, etc) while focusing on growth and feedback for the entire region.
Conduct stay interviews and engagement check-ins to help Loka stay ahead of retention risks.
Lead regional projects and co-lead global, cross-regional initiatives in areas like organizational design, change management and employee experience improvements.
Promote Loka’s culture by standardizing the employee experience across all countries.
Lead employee relations cases, including investigations and disciplinary processes, with fairness and consistency.
Oversee onboarding and development for new hires while providing guidance on promotions, salary reviews and career progression planning
Analyze HR data and trends by tracking employee satisfaction and retention patterns and identify potential workplace issues via surveys and metrics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
At least four years of HR experience, with a focus on employee relations, performance management and policy implementation
Strong knowledge of local Portuguese employment laws and regulations across regions (experience in Europe and/or Latin America is a plus)
Proficiency in managing HRIS systems and handling confidential employee data
Proven ability to build strong relationships with employees and managers at all levels
Excellent communication, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
Experience designing and delivering training and development programs (considered a plus)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment
A proactive mindset with a commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture
