As Loka’s Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll be the go-to specialist for crafting and deploying infrastructure across a variety of projects. Your skills in AWS, TypeScript and Python will allow us to build solid, scalable systems and improve them over time. The Role Develop technical design specifications based on functional requirements and develop and maintain AWS Cloud applications. Orchestrate containers with Kubernetes. In this position you’ll serve as the primary specialist in designing and implementing Backend solutions across multiple projects. Your expertise in Python and/or NodeJs development will help us design and deliver high-performing, reliable and secure Backend applications. Ultimately we expect you to not just fit in with our Backend crew but to elevate it to new heights. You will be too. The Role Design, develop and implement Backend components spanning APIs, serverless functions, distributed services, queue systems, data storage services and more. Drive decisions around architectural trade-offs on a system, as well as application level with performance requirements and external constraints. Implement and champion security and data-protection best practices across systems. Raise the quality bar by maintaining effective test suites and writing clean code and documentation. Work closely with clients to gather requirements, align expectations and provide updates on deliverables. Stay up to date with industry trends to incorporate cutting-edge techniques and tools into projects. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Backend engineers within the team. Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams (Machine Learning, Data Engineering, etc.) to ensure seamless integration of Backend solutions. Take full responsibility for assigned tasks and projects, ensuring accountability for outcomes and results. Understand business objectives and develop solutions that help achieve them. Organize, update and maintain sales records. Update our internal sales systems and data dashboards. Support stakeholders with data and asset resources. Manage projects for various sales initiatives. Requirements MUST HAVE 7-13 years in a technical role like, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer or traditional Engineering, or Product Manager Solid understanding of data infrastructure, machine learning, and/or cloud architectures Experience with Amazon Web Services and understanding of core AWS Services Ability to travel to meet clients and attend industry events up to 25% of the month Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship STRONGLY PREFERRED Analytical and problem-solving skills and aptitude for learning quickly Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with varying deadlines and adapt to changes in environment and priorities Attention to detail and comfort within fast-paced work environment US working hours, slightly heavier on morning meetings especially for San Francisco based candidates.
