Role Summary

As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will play a key role in driving a data-driven culture across the organization. You will transform raw data into powerful, actionable insights that guide strategic decisions while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data assets.

Reporting to the Product Manager, you’ll leverage your technical expertise to build and maintain sophisticated BI solutions within Looker. You will empower teams with the insights they need to make smarter, faster decisions. If you are passionate about operational excellence and telling stories with data, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

Business Intelligence & Data Analysis:

  • Translate business requirements from stakeholders into technical specifications and sustainable BI solutions, including reports, dashboards, and data models.
  • Design, develop, and maintain visually appealing and easy-to-understand reports and dashboards in Looker.
  • Design, develop, and version control robust and scalable LookML models using GitLab to serve as the single source of truth for key business metrics.
  • Analyze product performance and key KPIs, delivering actionable insights to improve outcomes.

Data Pipeline Management & Orchestration:

  • Utilize data orchestration tools, particularly Airflow, to schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Proactively monitor data integrations and workflows to ensure continuous, error-free data flow.
  • Perform routine data quality checks and audits to identify and resolve anomalies, ensuring accuracy and adherence to best practices.

Data Governance:

  • Develop and enforce data governance policies to maintain data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance.
  • Champion data governance best practices across the organization.
  • Establish clear documentation for data sources, LookML models, processes, and workflows.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with product, engineering, and marketing teams to support product launches and onboarding.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, assisting internal teams by troubleshooting data, reporting, or integration issues with a solution-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in a Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or similar technical role.
  • Proven experience with BI tools, with strong proficiency in Looker and LookML.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for complex data querying, manipulation, and optimization.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitLab) for managing code and BI projects.
  • Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow) is a strong asset.
  • Hands-on experience with large data sets and cloud databases (e.g., BigQuery, MySQL, or similar).
  • Familiarity with web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a meticulous, detail-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 with an annual target bonus.
