Senior Vice President of Finance

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a highly experienced Senior Vice President of Finance to lead financial operations for our Southeast and Midwest regions. This key leadership role will partner with Market Leaders and the CFO, providing strategic financial guidance and spearheading initiatives to optimize financial performance through team development, process centralization, and strategic outsourcing. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in financial accounting, exceptional analytical abilities, and a demonstrated track record of successful leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • To have collective Financial Accounting oversight responsibility of four distinct business units in the Southeast and Midwest Regions.
  • To provide business partner acumen and analysis to the Market Leaders as well as the CFO.
  • To provide leadership for multiple finance and accounting personnel located in Atlanta, Orlando, and Chicago and potentially other markets
  • To evaluate talent among the existing personnel as well as any new hires/replacements deemed necessary from collaborative and cross-functional efforts.
  • To take part in the national effort to maximize efficiency in how work is organized into highly effective and efficient teams, including centralization and outsourcing strategies.
  • To continue to help develop, implement and communicate new policies, procedures and systems as determined by the Accounting and Finance Team, led by the CFO.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership for all accounting personnel in the Southeast and Midwest regions.
  • Review and analyze monthly balance sheets and income statements for all Southeast and Midwest Region business units for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide monthly P&L and cash flow analysis for each of the four business units reporting to the respective Market Leaders.
  • Provide monthly variance analysis for all revenue streams, including insights into company performance and action plans for improving financial results
  • Work with Market Leaders and other key personnel to prepare annual budgets.
  • Work with Market Leaders and other key personnel to prepare monthly cash/P&L forecast updates.
  • Provide various ad hoc analyses and variance explanations to HQ FP&A Team as needed.
  • Review and approve certain IT related requests for the Region to include requests for personnel access and new equipment purchases.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and functions assigned by leadership.

Desired Competency, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other related course of study (Master's preferred)
  • CPA or CPA Candidate preferred, but not required
  • 10+ years proven leadership experience in the real estate industry with emphasis on commercial real estate preferred.
  • Audit experience also a plus.
  • Oracle Cloud or other comparable enterprise software experience a plus.
  • Property accounting system knowledge, including MRI, Yardi, etc.
  • Must possess advanced skill level in MS Excel.
