Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Specialist
About Lucid Bots
Lucid Bots is the leading U.S. AI robotics manufacturer of exterior cleaning drones and robotics for commercial and government applications. Since 2018, we've been building the world's most productive and responsible robots to tackle critical maintenance challenges. With industry-leading engineering and dedicated customer support, we've enabled operators to generate over $75 million in revenue, with a fleet of over 500 robots deployed to accomplish dull, dirty, and dangerous jobs with safety and efficiency.
Our mission is simple: extend human reach.
Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, we design, engineer, manufacture, and support our products in the United States. Our production-ready robots are deployed by customers around the world — from global enterprises to independent owner-operators — to improve safety, increase productivity, and elevate operational standards.
We are one of the fastest-growing manufacturing companies in the United States, recently ranked fourth nationally, and we just closed a $20M Series B to fuel our next chapter at the intersection of AI, hardware, and real-world impact. Backed by leading investors including Y Combinator (S19), Cubit Capital, Idea Fund Partners, Danu Ventures, and others, we're scaling quickly.
We're building more than robots—we're building the future of physical AI.
Our Core Values and How We Work Together
At Lucid Bots, we're building something extraordinary - and how we work matters just as much as what we build. These values guide how we hire, grow, and show up for one another.
- Expedition Behavior - We climb as one. No silos, no "that's not my job." We protect the team and share the load.
- Grow with Humility - We're relentless learners. We seek feedback, own mistakes, and get better every day.
- Lift People Up - Humans come first. We care fiercely, speak honestly, and design for real people in real conditions.
- Build the Extraordinary - We take ownership, reject the ordinary, and run toward hard problems.
- We live Above the Line: we take responsibility, create solutions, and shape the future.
If these values energize you, you'll thrive here. If they feel like too much, this may not be the right climb - and that's okay.
Goal of This Role
Every robot we ship and every part we receive flows through this seat — which makes you the person who keeps Lucid Bots moving. As our Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Specialist, you'll own the full physical and system-of-record journey of our materials: shipping finished robots and parts to customers around the world, receiving and putting away incoming inventory, and keeping our ERP a trustworthy mirror of what's actually on the shelf. You'll be the go-to expert who untangles international customs, tenders lithium-battery and freight shipments correctly, and turns around the shipping quotes our Sales team relies on.
This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role with real ownership: you'll set the standard for how a fast-growing robotics company ships. As we scale, the person who masters this function has a front-row seat to how a modern operation is built — and helps build it. If you take pride in getting the details right and want your work to matter, this is where you'll make an outsized impact.
Who You Are
- You've spent 3+ years hands-on in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics, and you're comfortable owning the whole process end-to-end — not just one slice of it.
- You ship it right the first time: domestic parcel, LTL/FTL freight, and international shipments, with accurate packaging, labeling, commercial invoices, and customs documentation.
- You've navigated international shipping and customs before, and you know how to keep a shipment from getting stuck — or how to get it un-stuck when it does. (DHL experience is a real plus here).
- You treat inventory as sacred: every physical move gets reflected promptly and accurately in the ERP, and you catch part-number, quantity, or documentation errors before they reach a customer or the production floor.
- You keep customers and internal teams moving — packing, and staging orders on schedule, and turning around shipping quotes and lead-time answers for Sales quickly.
- You're comfortable handling (or getting certified to handle) regulated materials — DOT/IATA dangerous goods and lithium-ion batteries. If you don't have the certs yet, you're ready to earn them fast (we pay for it).
- You bring builder energy to a startup: processes are still being written, and you want to help improve them rather than wait for a perfect playbook.
- You take radical ownership. When you don't know something, you figure it out — you're a teammate first.
- You can safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs and are comfortable operating (or getting certified on) forklifts and pallet jacks.
Bonus If You Have:
- Experience with Acumatica ERP, or another ERP's inventory, purchase-receipt, sales-order, and shipment workflows.
- Deeper international/customs fluency — HTS classifications, ECCNs, Incoterms, export documentation, and coordinating with customs brokers.
- A background in manufacturing, robotics, electronics, or aerospace, or experience with lot-controlled, serialized, or revision-controlled inventory.
- Familiarity with cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and 5S / continuous-improvement methods.
- Hands-on experience safely handling batteries, ESD-sensitive components, or other regulated materials.
Why Join Lucid Bots?

- Help support the culture, pace, and systems of a company scaling fast and building things that matter.
Benefits:
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- 3% retirement match
- 15 days of paid time off (PTO)

The Promise: This is not a black hole. If you take the time to record it, we will take the time to watch it.
What to Send (2 mins max) Please do not read a script. Do not worry about editing or production value. Just open your camera and talk to us.
- Why here? Why are you excited about Lucid Bots specifically?
- Why you? What is the one thing about you that a resume can't capture?
If you want the highest probability of an interview, send a video.
