
Technical Program Manager, Automotive Wiring Harness
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Program Manager, Automotive Wiring Harness Change Management Coordinator. This position is responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of engineering changes, ensuring that design updates, production modifications, rework, and integration activities are executed seamlessly. The ideal candidate will play a key role in minimizing disruptions to manufacturing and supply chain operations by coordinating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, procurement, and quality. The Change Management Coordinator will track and report on progress, resolve roadblocks, and ensure that all activities align with project milestones and quality standards. Strong communication skills are essential to keep all stakeholders informed and ensure the timely completion of change-related tasks.

Role
- Serve as the central point of contact for wiring harness change management, rework, and electrical integration activities (DT’s – Device Transmittals), facilitating cross-functional meetings to discuss implementation strategies and impacts, while providing training and support to relevant teams on DT/DTR’s.
- Review, assess, and process engineering change requests (ECRs/EDS) while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams (design, production, quality, etc.) to ensure feasibility and alignment with technical requirements.
- Audit change requests for content accuracy, feasibility, and impact.
- Develop rework plans for wiring harnesses impacted by design or production changes, collaborating with production and quality teams to ensure procedures meet standards, enhance efficiency, and minimize waste.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date record of all change orders in the appropriate systems.
- Monitor and report on the progress of rework activities, ensuring completion within defined timelines.
- Oversee the integration of wiring harness changes into existing production workflows, ensuring the right stakeholders are involved. Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to address compatibility issues between old and new components, while ensuring proper alignment with downstream processes such as assembly and testing.
- Follow up on electrical documentation from subsystems, ensuring it is updated throughout sourcing and integration. Maintain the correct maturity level based on milestones (DTs – Device Transmittals), ensuring all documentation aligns with design updates and production requirements.
- Follow the Lucid process to guide documentation to closure, maintaining control over technical drawings, BOMs, and related documents, while supporting audits by providing required documentation and evidence of change management processes.
Qualifications
- Experience in change management, rework planning, and integration, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing sector.
- Understanding of wiring harness design, production processes and standards.
- Experience with wiring harness systems and related software tools, CATIA 3DX preferred.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ready to learn new skills, processes in a daily basis and as needed. Proactively searching for feedback and best practices.
- Available for occasional business travel within and outside of the US (10-20%).

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$135,300 - $186,010 USD
