We are currently seeking a Manager, Plant Vehicle Engineering for Body Shop. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective field and possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
The Role:
- Manage a team of Hardware engineers at our Advanced Manufacturing Plant (AMP1) in Casa Grande, AZ supporting all product engineering requirements for sustaining engineering on current models and new product launch
- Troubleshoot design engineering issues with the quality and manufacturing teams.
- Ensure the product designs are assembled with the highest possible quality
- Reports to Sr. Manager of Plant Vehicle Engineering, and works closely with Mfg Operations Shop Leaders and Quality Leaders.
- Some travel is required between the factory in Casa Grande, AZ, Southfield, MI, & Newark, CA.
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree in any discipline, Master's preferred
- 10 years automotive experience in design and release and/or vehicle attributes
- Experience in automotive manufacturing plants OEM or Tier1
- Previously led prototype builds or launch events
- Knowledge of requirements for vehicle testing (durability, NVH, vehicle dynamics, thermal, aerodynamics)
- Experience managing a team of engineers and technicians in a fast-paced environment
Advantageous:
- Master's or PhD degree in a relevant engineering field
- Experience testing fully electric vehicles
- 10+ years of experience in automotive or relevant industry
