EHS Specialist, Retail Operations & HQ
We are currently seeking an EHS Specialist to join our team! This individual will support Retail Operations for North America and provide support for EHS HQ/R&D programs. Please note, this position is onsite out of our Newark Headquarters with up to 50% travel in NA based on business needs.
The selected candidate will manage day-to-day EH&S processes including EHS permitting/licensing, EHS supplies, EHS training, ongoing regulatory compliance, participating in EH&S inspections and audits, and develop tracking systems. Supporting efforts to ensure compliance with all Lucid EH&S Program expectations and applicable federal, state and local laws.
You Will:
- Support EH&S Retail operations in a fast paced, cross functional and highly collaborative environment.
- Develop and maintain strong communication between all levels within the organization.
- Maintain Retail EH&S policies, plans, and procedures.
- Environmental support with annual chemical inventory reporting to regulatory agencies including developing and maintaining HMBP program.
- Oversee and manage hazardous waste activities for small quantity generator.
- Maintain Lucid Retail Operations environmental regulatory compliance by obtaining/maintaining permits for all Retail locations.
- Develop and maintain regulatory compliance calendar.
- Maintain required documentation to comply with local, state and federal regulations.
- Provide support for EH&S programs such as LOTO, Hazard Communication, Emergency Response, Fall Protection, Respiratory Protection, etc.
- Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHA).
- Support and document accident/incident investigations to determine root cause, corrective/preventive measures, and provide overall governance for all Retail Ops incidents.
- Facilitate safety meetings where safety trends, gap analyses, and mitigation plans are communicated.
- Be a resource to the construction project management team and provide guidance, assistance and direction regarding EHS requirements. Participate in project kick off meetings and describe Retail EHS specific expectations.
- Responsible for Retail EHS intranet website development, manage and update the website.
- Participate in and contribute to EHS cross-functional team projects and prevention initiatives.
- Perform safety observations/inspections at our retail locations and participate in Corporate EHS audits.
- Perform specific safety training and participate in EHS training development with internal EHS organizations at Lucid.
- May have additional responsibilities for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, or other safety related activities.
- Support in developing EHS Programs for HQ/R&D and/or tasks as needed.
- Travel up to 50% within North America based on business needs.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by EHS leadership.
You Bring:
- Minimum of 3-5 years in an Environmental Health & Safety related field. Experience in the automotive or electric vehicle industry is a plus.
- Experience in working with numerous city, county, state, and federal permitting authorities.
- Strong background in environmental regulations and permitting is a plus.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced and changing environment.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, UBC, ISO, ANSI, RIA, NFPA, GB, codes.
- Knowledge of Local, State and Federal regulatory agencies and requirements.
- Experience in electrical, plumbing, mechanical and heavy civil is a plus.
- Practical, hands-on experience with LOTO, Hazard Communication, Emergency Response, Fall Protection, Respiratory Protection, Ergonomics, etc.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point in a professional capacity.
- Well organized with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to prioritize and execute work among competing priorities.
- Experienced in emergency response and currently holds First aid and CPR certificates.
- Ability to travel up to 50% within North America based on business needs.
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$91,400 - $125,730 USD
