PLM BOM Analyst, Service
The PLM BOM Analyst position will support Lucid’s Service organization and is responsible for continuously enhancing the process for the Service Bill of Material and supporting data management throughout the product lifecycle. The role will include part and BOM creation, change management, and communication of relevant supporting data such as intended effectivity dates and material disposition based off interchangeability. This position will also promote best practices and internal business processes related to change management and general PLM functions. This role is on-site at Lucid Motors Headquarters in Newark, CA.
The Role
- Work with cross-functional teams to accurately structure new products and document product changes as part of the product development, continuous improvement, and sustaining Service processes
- Create and release part numbers in the PLM system and manage any changes from creation until lifecycle ends
- Manage the release of Bill of Material structures based on input from Program Management and Engineering to represent appropriate Service structuring
- Initiate and manage engineering change requests to document and communicate changes to previously released parts and BOMs
- Support and manage engineering application requests, including process and methodologies enhancements
- Enable continuous improvements in PLM best practices by writing business requirements for CAD development team and support training to stakeholders on Service related process updates
- Ensure data integrity between systems (PLM, ERP, etc.) throughout the change cycle
- Perform BOM management by analyzing, processing and tracking change submissions to minimize processing time between submission and implementation
- Develop KPI to track BOM health and other metrics
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent background
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in automotive engineering or related industry
- Demonstrated understanding of multilevel Bill of Material hierarchy, including hardware and software components.
- Demonstrate the understanding of product release cycle as it relates to the creation and change management of parts and BOM structures
- Knowledge and working experience in product lifecycle management applications such as Teamcenter, Catia, Siemens or Dassault’s 3DX and Enovia environments
- ERP knowledge for the systematically management of product master data and configurations
- Familiarity with documentation and collaborative platforms like Atlassian’s Jira
- Strong understanding of Service supply chain, which includes interchangeability & supersession chains and End of Life management of supply
- Ability to work cross functionally between engineering, production, and supply chain personnel
- Industry knowledge of technology and automotive process trends
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$108,200 - $148,830 USD
