Outbound Finished Vehicle Logistics Supervisor
You Will:
· Direct all outbound finished vehicle logistics operations, including vehicle preparation, transportation coordination, exception management, damage prevention, measurement, and claims.
· Oversee outbound finished vehicle yard management process at the plant.
· Ensure that vehicles received from the plant meet quality specifications and standards.
· Conduct regular inspections on carriers' transportation to detect issues that could generate damage to vehicles.
· Manage labor pool for finished vehicle processing effectively and efficiently.
· Direct the teams responsible for execution for delivery of services to the end customer
· Define and drive development and implementation of needed processes and systems.
· Evaluate finish vehicle transportation claims and develop vehicle quality initiatives
· Identify opportunities to improve the logistic process, including vehicle handling, maintenance, and any other process that needs improvement.
· Identify ongoing operational processes and staffing needs to support logistics operations.
· Investigate incidents and implement preventive measures to minimize risks
· Identify and hire a world-class team of logistics professionals to lead operations
· Work with Internal Customers to optimize and meet requirements (Mfg., Sales, Quality, and Field Service)
· Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes
· Help recruit and build a high-performing Outbound Finished Vehicle Team
· Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
· Conduct safety training sessions and regular safety audits.
You Bring:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive finish vehicles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
· Strong understanding of the automotive environment with knowledge in vehicle manufacturing/logistics.
· Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team effectively.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel is a plus), and logistics software (TMS); experience with ERP (SAP) systems and manufacturing Systems (MES).
