The Deputy Manager – New Launch and Change Control is a critical function in Lucid responsible to lead and coordinate the successful launch of new vehicle programs and manage engineering changes within Advanced Manufacturing Plant, ensuring seamless integration into production while maintaining quality, cost, and timing targets. 

The ideal candidate brings strategic thought process, digital transformation, strong team builder and motivator with excellent communication capabilities both above and below the grade. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute organizational plans for new product launches. 
  • Coordinate staffing, training, and scheduling to meet launch timelines. 
  • Lead production teams through all build phases, ensuring readiness and alignment across departments. 
  • Analyze and control change costs, schedule delays, and quality issues during new production line launches. 
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback for manufacturability. 
  • Support commissioning of new equipment and manage product changes effectively. 
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and improve efficiency. 
  • Develop process control plans and standardized work procedures. 
  • Drive defect resolution and ensure in-station process control for high-quality output. 
  • Interface with engineering, automation, materials, and other departments to support improvement activities. 
  • Collaborate with HR for recruiting and training initiatives. 
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of launch and change control processes. 
  • Foster a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement. 
  • Develop and implement training plans for supervisors and team members. 
  • Create an environment where employees understand their impact on company success. 
  • Develop and maintain launch budgets. 
  • Support capital project planning and execution. 
  • Ensure efficient use of resources during launch and change control activities. 

Key Qualifications

  •  
  • Significant experience in launching new manufacturing processes and products. 
  • Ability to manage engineering changes, control costs, and minimize schedule delays and quality issues. 
  • Proficiency in implementing lean principles to eliminate waste and improve efficiency. 
  • Developing and enforcing standardized work and process documentation. 
  • Using metrics to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities. 
  • Providing input to design teams to optimize production feasibility. 
  • Managing capital projects and controlling launch-related costs. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field. 
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations. 
  • At least 2-3 years in a lead role in logistics.
  • Experience managing large teams and complex distribution networks.
