Supplier Quality Technician
The Powertrain Supplier Quality Technician will be responsible for taking the lead role in creating new supplier methods, procedures, and validations (based on new or already released product introductions to the system) and coordinating activities in the Supplier Quality Engineering Material Review Board (MRB) area. The Powertrain (PWT) Supplier Quality Technician will work closely with Logistics, Manufacturing Operations, Facilities, Product Engineering, New Product Introduction, and other cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry quality standards.
You Will:
- Collaborate with Supplier Quality Assurance and Incoming Quality teams on supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, and performance monitoring to ensure effective quality management.
- Support quality requirements at various product development stages.
- Collaborate on reviews and validation of control plans, PFMEAs, and work instructions.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to achieve product excellence goals.
- Coordinate and manage the Powertrain MRB.
- Manage and report performance metrics in a timely manner to diagnose and prioritize issues.
- Contribute ideas and best practices to successful quality gates.
- Facilitate quality resolutions, drive innovations, and promote continual improvements.
- Support the documentation process and compliance with ISO9001, AIAG/ IATF16949, and ISO26262 industry standards.
You Bring:
- 1+ years in Powertrain Equipment/ Manufacturing Engineering.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead the technical efforts of engaged teams.
- Able to work cross-functionally with all disciplines involved.
- Collaborate with the supplier quality team throughout all stages of Powertrain line development, from conception to launch.
- Efficiently implement engineering solutions on manufacturing equipment in response to product design changes.
- Utilize analytic problem-solving skills, including knowledge of 8D, Six Sigma, DOE, and/or similar certifications/ disciplines.
- Experience with the SAP software system.
- Familiarity with electronic components.
- Influence outcomes and drive initiatives in complex environments.
- Possesses strong presentation skills and communicates clearly and professionally at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Flexibility in work schedule is required, including evening and weekend availability as needed.
- Skilled in reading 3D drawings.
