Come work alongside some of the most accomplished minds in the industry. Beyond providing competitive salaries, we’re providing a community for innovators who want to make an immediate and significant impact. If you are driven to create a better, more sustainable future, then this is the right place for you.

We are currently seeking a Staff Product Manager for Lighting, Vision and Sensing. As the Product Management Lead for Lighting, Vision, and Sensing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and defining our cutting-edge vehicle systems. This product management-heavy role involves close collaboration with UX, marketing, and requirements engineering teams to develop attributes that enhance customer experience and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Vision and Leadership:
  • Lead the product vision and strategy for vehicle lighting, vision, and sensing technologies to help secure Lucid’s continual competitive advantage in a margin-appropriate fashion.
  • Translate Lucid’s unique market positioning into both strategic vectors and tactical actions for how the lighting, vision and sensing teams can support—and integrate optimally with—the entire vehicle ecosystem.
  • Holistically drive multi-year product roadmaps and align them with the company’s overall business strategy and market trends.
  • Collaborative Development and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Work closely with UX designers to ensure seamless integration of technologies that delight customers with intuitive ease and emotional appeal, with a razor-sharp focus on incremental value vs. incremental lifecycle cost.
  • Partner with marketing teams to define market needs that identify customer value propositions and then express Lucid’s advantages in compelling ways that truly land and stick.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between engineering, UX, marketing, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and project success.
  • Gather insights and feedback from internal and external stakeholders, integrating them into product development processes.
  • Market Analysis, Market Research, and Innovation:
  • Conduct market analyses to identify the most forward-looking trends and innovation opportunities in vehicle sensing technologies.
  • Stay abreast of competitive offerings and ensure the company’s solutions are best-in-class.
  • Leverage a mixture of qual and quant market research techniques to gain fundamental insight into the potential response, viability, and corresponding value of lighting, vision and sensing alternatives.
  • Continually engage with research teams and top vendors to trigger development programs that could support Lucid’s leadership positioning
  • Collaborate intensively with engineering teams to optimize the relationships between product innovation, piece part cost, capital investment, time to market, and actual customer impact.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Product Management, Business, or a related field.  MBA or equivalent competence strongly desired.
  • At least 8 years of demonstrated high performance as a product manager who consistently delivers world-class products, preferably within the automotive branch or technical industries with similar rigor.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects under intense time pressure.
  • Possess an exceptionally innovative mindset with a passion for sustainability and electric vehicles.
  • Clear aptitude in balancing conflicting needs such as feature-benefits vs development expense vs capital investment vs product cost vs time to market.
  • Significant knowledge of vehicle lighting, vision, and sensing technologies—or a strong track record of rapid onboarding in analogous technical fields.
  • Extremely refined communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.  Experienced at persuasively presenting to upper management with targeted messaging, even when under uncomfortable pressure.

Advantageous:

  • Proven track record of deriving deep insights from a mixture of qualitative and quantitative user experience research, including uncovering future opportunities where companies could carve out unique value for customers.
  • Very well-developed sense for visual aesthetics, user experience, and how to generate targeted customer emotional responses that could enhance Lucid’s differentiation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of mechanical engineering, plastic injection molding and related manufacturing processes, materials properties, electromechanical packaging, and optical technologies.
  • Instinctive mentor and change management agent who continually elevates the skills and capabilities of others.
  • Deep understanding of international markets and corresponding mindsets, ideally with multinational working experience.
  • Natural inclination to persistently track down and solve necessary details as an integral part of implementing the overall strategy.  Our viewpoint:  strategy without brilliant execution is useless.
  • Creative thinker who inspires and supports others in generating unexpectedly delightful solutions for demanding customers.  Extra bonus for being a frequent intellectual property contributor.
  • Show a powerful ability to inspire and guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver market-defining product and brand experiences.  Not the simple stuff—the market-defining things that generate strong brand separation from competitors.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (electrical or industrial engineering, computer science, or similar), master’s degree preferred

Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
