Director, Software PMO
Lucid Motors is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Program Management Director to lead Vehicle Software and Low Voltage Hardware Programs. This critical role will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of software and hardware components across multiple vehicle programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex programs with numerous inter-dependencies, a deep understanding of automotive software development and strong leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage a team of program managers responsible for the delivery of vehicle software and ECUs across multiple vehicle programs.
· Define and implement program management processes and tools to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of software and hardware components.
· Develop and maintain detailed program plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
· Receive and triage feature demands from Sales, Marketing, Service, Customer Care and Executives to create and distribute the Software Release Roadmap.
· Track program progress, identify risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies.
· Collaborate closely with Engineering Project Managers to gather and synthesize data from various engineering departments under Digital: Infotainment, ECU Manufacturing and hardware design, Audio systems, Embedded Platform, Systems Engineering, Controls Software, Electrical Integration, Verification and Validation, AD and ADAS, Connectivity and Cybersecurity
· Manage third-party software timelines.
· Ensure alignment between the Digital team and the overall vehicle program timelines.
· Communicate program status and escalate issues with senior management to the Executives and the CEO.
· Drive continuous improvement in program management practices.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
· 10+ years of experience in program management, with at least 5 years in the automotive industry.
· Strong understanding of automotive software development lifecycle and processes.
· Experience managing complex programs with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
· Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
· Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
· PMP certification is a plus.
