
Director, Software PM
Lucid Motors is looking for a highly skilled and driven Program Management Director to lead the Vehicle Software and Low Voltage Hardware Programs. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of software and hardware components across multiple vehicle programs. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of managing complex, interdependent programs, deep expertise in automotive software development, and exceptional leadership and communication skills.
You will:
- Lead and mentor a team of program managers overseeing the delivery of vehicle software and ECUs across various vehicle programs.
- Define and implement robust program management processes and tools to ensure timely and on-budget delivery of software and hardware components.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Service, Customer Care, and Executive teams to triage feature demands and create and distribute the Software Release Roadmap.
- Monitor program progress, proactively identify risks and issues, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with Engineering Project Managers to collect and analyze data from key engineering functions, including Infotainment, ECU Manufacturing, hardware design, Audio Systems, Embedded Platforms, Systems Engineering, Controls Software, Electrical Integration, Verification and Validation, AD/ADAS, Connectivity, and Cybersecurity.
- Oversee third-party software timelines to ensure alignment with internal schedules.
- Ensure seamless integration between the Digital team and overall vehicle program timelines.
- Regularly communicate program status to senior management and escalate issues to executives, including the CEO.
- Drive continuous improvement of program management practices to enhance efficiency and delivery quality.
You Bring:
- 10+ years of experience in program management, with at least 5 years in the automotive industry.
- In-depth understanding of the automotive software development lifecycle and associated processes.
- Proven experience in managing complex programs involving multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated success in navigating fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Great to Have:
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
- PMP certification is desirable.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Base Pay Range (hourly)
$209,900 - $307,890 USD
