Transportation Management System (TMS) Operations Manager

We are currently seeking a Transportation Management System (TMS) Manager to oversee and optimize our TMS operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing TMS solutions for Inbound and Outbound operations, enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels across our transportation network.
The successful candidate will have spent five (5) or more years designing or implementing automotive or freight forwarding transportation planning software. Our ideal candidate is systems oriented and possess great communication skills. You will play an important role on the Transportation team, as the primary link between Lucid’s IT team and the critical information flow between logistics, material planning, transportation providers, and finance.
You Will:
· Lead the operational side of deployment, configuration, and ongoing management of TMS software to ensure alignment with business objectives.
· Analyze transportation processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), generate reports, and provide actionable insights to management regarding transportation efficiency and cost savings.
· Collaborate with logistics, material planning, procurement, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of TMS with other operational systems.
· Oversee relationships with TMS vendors and service providers, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with service agreements.
· Manage a team of two to five specialists.
· Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring the necessary skills to effectively utilize the TMS.
· Ensure that all transportation activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
· Stay updated on industry trends and technology advancements, and proactively recommend enhancements to TMS capabilities.
You Bring:
· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience in transportation management, logistics, or supply chain roles, with at least 2 years focused on TMS management.
· Strong understanding of transportation processes, regulations, and best practices.
· Proven track record of working with large datasets and utilizing business intelligence tools.
· Proficiency in TMS software and related technologies, (SAP EWM, TM, BN4L)
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
