Engineer, Power Electronics Test and Validation
We are currently seeking a test and validation engineer with HV electronics background. The level will depend on the candidate’s experience. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly, and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
The Position:
• Ownership over validation of power electronics components before mass production.
• Development of accelerated lifetime test specifications (e.g. Arrhenius model, Coffin-Manson/Norris-Landzberg equation)
• Responsibility of test setups, operation, data analysis, and test reporting
• Work closely with in-house Lucid test labs to drive validation progress.
• Work closely with design groups
• Work with Environment, Health, and Safety team to maintain and improve safety of the lab.
Desired Skills:
• Lab safety habits for working with high voltage
• Hands-on experience in testing and validation for power electronics components.
• Experience in the automotive industry.
• Experience in DV/PV standards and practice.
• Experienced in handling test instruments & executing test methods for high power products.
• Proactive communication
• Technical writing
Advantageous:
• MS degree in E/E or mechanical engineering
• Understanding of lab equipment (e. g. climate chambers, chillers, battery simulators, AC/DC power supplies)
• 3 years of industry experience.
• Automotive and industrial environmental reliability requirements (GMW/ISO/IEC standards)
• Knowledge of automotive electronics and EV powertrain
• NI LabVIEW Software Tool & NI Hardware’s knowledge.
Education Requirements:
• BS in electrical or mechanical engineering
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$101,700 - $139,810 USD
